Astrology Weddings: How to Plan a Marriage Ceremony for a Playful Gemini

As the sun enters Gemini, it’s time to ease up on Taurean routines to make room for random adventures and summer festivals. Those who are born between May 21 and June 20 typically fall under this sign. Geminis, like other air signs, are allergic to boredom. So when this sign plans to tie the knot, they will pull out all the stops.

Monica Milewski goes by the Noonlit Sage. She’s a therapeutic astrologer who interprets star charts through a psychological lens, empowering clients to align with their “highest self.” She blends psychology and spirituality to support self-growth and healing. For Gemini season, Milewski shares pro tips on planning a dynamic wedding that speaks to this fun-loving air sign.

Life of the Party

In Latin, Gemini means twins, which represents this energetic sign’s versatility and duality. Picture a “Mix and Mingle” layout, where partygoers float from one area to the next. Think high-energy DJs, themed lounges and interactive food stations. Hiring a wedding planner to juggle this social butterfly’s ambitious itinerary will give the couple peace of mind. As an adventurous spirit, a Gemini may also enjoy a destination wedding to celebrate their new chapter.

One moment this sign wants to get hitched on the beach, notes Milewski, and the next moment they want to elope at city hall. This is attributable to their dual personalities. “Because they are a mutable sign, it means they are more open-minded and like to explore a variety of options,” she adds. “While others are super intentional with a direction when wedding planning, Geminis prefer to flow to their final destination.”

Read the Stars

For Gemini-inspired nuptials, it’s essential to ensure the wedding date aligns with the couple’s long-term goals. A planet rules every zodiac sign. Mercury, the planet of communication, intelligence and technology, governs Gemini. Astrologers widely consider Mercury a “personal planet.” Meaning people are influenced by its placement on a daily basis.

Milewski says that because Gemini falls under Mercury’s rule, it’s best to avoid marrying during or just before a Mercury retrograde. “Times of Mercury retrograde, about three week periods usually three times per year, is often when misunderstandings occur, which would make for a very stressful, indecisive Gemini right as they are supposed to have the best time of their life,” she explains.

From the iconic actress Marilyn Monroe to the legendary rapper Kendrick Lamar, Geminis’ enigmatic nature shines through their wardrobe, often including bold, versatile and flowy garments. In astrology, every zodiac sign falls under a modality, characterizing how the signs express themselves. Mutable signs like Gemini are considered the “chameleons” of the zodiac due to their kaleidoscopic nature, according to People Magazine

“For a mutable sign like Gemini, I would definitely pick an A-line style that is easy to move in,” says Milewski. “Nothing that is super restrictive like a tight corset or mermaid-style dress. Lots of details, textures and accessories in a wedding dress [or suit] can provide endless points of conversation and words of affirmation (Gemini’s love language).”

Sip, Snack and Socialize

Geminis favor a feast with diverse offerings, witty banter and an invigorating atmosphere. Gourmet hors d’ouveres, flavorful tapas and artistic charcuterie spreads provide guests with a variety to choose from to satisfy their appetites. Similar to a cocktail party, a free-spirited Gemini may want to circulate the room, hopping from table to table to catch up with their loved ones.

“A Gemini-style wedding reception menu should include light dishes and portions to avoid a heavy post meal feeling that lulls the mind,” suggests Milewski. “A buffet-style menu allows for diverse conversation, perfect for Geminis. For drinks, something bright and bubbly like Champagne could be a great complement to keep the mood elevated and breezy.”

Zen Out

Keeping tabs on all the moving parts of the marriage festivities can easily become overwhelming. Though Geminis are adaptable by nature, this air sign is still prone to a nervous breakdown. This speedy zodiac sign may benefit from grounding themselves. Breathing exercises and mindful journaling before the ceremony may keep a Gemini rooted in reality.

“Gemini: lean on others for support with the details on the day of,” says Milewski. ”You’ve completed the planning, and now is your time to enjoy your big day. This will alleviate worries, and allow you to let loose, laugh and make memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.”
