Las Vegas continues to hold court (no pun intended) as the Wedding Capital of the World. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the city accommodates all types of marriage ceremonies. Beyond classic Las Vegas elopements and popular chapel flings, these temples, mosques and churches welcome many denominations for traditional nuptial festivities. Explore these options for faith-based ceremonies, that cater to both religion and culture.
Temples
Las Vegas Nevada Temple

The Church of Latter-Day Saints maintains several temples in the southwest, most notably the statuesque spires climbing towards the sky at the Nevada Temple on Temple View Drive in east Las Vegas. This temple was the Mormon church’s first Nevada institution, and an additional temple location will open its doors in Vegas Valley 2028.
Like many weddings, couples getting married in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple must obtain a marriage license before taking part in a ceremony, along with completing an additional set of prerequisite steps exclusive to the church.
Hindu and Jain Temple of Las Vegas

The Hindu and Jian temple in Las Vegas operates as a nonprofit. In addition to regular worship services, the venue hosts several weddings a year and can accommodate all types of Indian wedding festivities.
Temple president Pratij Dudhai plans to make changes with his newly-appointed title. He notes that more out-of-town visitors are expressing an interest in hosting their weddings at the Jian temple. The temple is working to accumulate wedding planners, decorators and food and beverage vendors to streamline the planning process.
To keep to tradition, the temple does not allow meat or alcohol on the premises. To obtain certification and make plans, Dudhai recommends contacting the temple and priest directly.
Mosques
Masjid Ibrahim Mosque
For Muslim festivities, Masjid Ibrahim delivers the standard package of services. With an elaborate and gorgeous interior, the mosque sits a short distance from the North Las Vegas airport. The mosque also houses a prayer hall and a social hall, for couples and their families to conduct a modest dinner after the ceremony.
Masjid Ibrahim caters to couples of diverse cultures. Imam Shamsuddin Waheed discusses canopies of separation for the bride and groom for Indian or Pakistani proceedings, along with a sermon and traditional dowry exchange, as some of the many practices conducted during the ceremonies. All matrimonial services are conducted by Waheed, a Clark County-licensed professional.
Churches and Cathedrals
Canyon Ridge Christian Church

As a Christian church, Canyon Ridge Church in Las Vegas carries several different wedding packages. Couples can choose small, medium, large and private sizes, along with a vow renewal option.
Prospective couples from in and out-of-state and those looking to get married at Canyon Ridge must complete an eight-week premarital experience, as a requirement from the church elders. Outside of the ceremonies, which include private preparation rooms and decorations in the experience, extensive counseling and mentoring services are available to couples.
Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church
As the first Catholic parish of Las Vegas, the St. Joan of Arc church holds deep roots to the city, with its origins dating back to its original construction in the 1940s. Couples can have their sacrament blessed by contacting the church for a special arrangement.
