From bold color palettes to immersive guest experiences, wedding trends in 2025 are all about high-impact details and heartfelt moments — no matter the size of the guest list. Couples are crafting celebrations that reflect their personal stories, styles and priorities, whether through intimate elopements, show-stopping entertainment or deeply meaningful menu inclusions.
We asked top wedding planners and experts what’s trending now and into 2026, and their insights are clear: the modern couple wants more than just a pretty day. They want a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Here are the top 2025 wedding trends to inspire the big day, straight from the professionals.
Immersive Guest Experiences
Weddings in 2025 are transforming into full-scale guest experiences that surprise and delight, whether it’s through food experiences or live entertainment.
“Think live performers, interactive food stations and unexpected entertainment moments. Couples want guests to feel something, not just attend,” says Las Vegas-based planner Melina Cianella of Starry Eyed Events LV.
Ashley Thompson of Ashley Creative Events agrees. At a recent wedding, she notes that they had, “a strolling late night food cart, a martini bar that served some of our clients’ favorite martinis and skee ball.”
It’s about making every moment unforgettable for couples and their guests.
Intimate Weddings with Bold Design

The guest list may be smaller, but the style is bigger than ever.
“It’s all about ‘fewer people, more impact,’” says Cianella. “Intimate weddings are now paired with statement florals, layered tablescapes, and personalized details that wow. With a smaller wedding, the budget can often go further as well.
Whether you’re planning an elopement or a micro-wedding, this trend proves less really can be more.
Content Creators on Site
Couples want instant memories as well as and unfiltered ones. This concept is perfect for those who want real-time glimpses before the professional gallery arrives, who want behind-the-scenes content to share (or keep private) or who want to partake in social media trends.
“We have seen a big uptick in the importance of a content creator for our couples,” says Thompson. “This gives our couples the opportunity to see ‘raw footage’ of their wedding day nearly immediately.”
These are different from videographers on site, who are editing and giving a polished final product. Many content creators are taking small, intimate moments or joyful exchanges and sending them straight to the client. They’re also taking content for social media trends, like TikTok.
Guest Book Upgrades: Audio and Video Trends
Move over, traditional guest books. Sentimental keepsakes are getting a modern twist in the form of guest book telephones.
“Couples want meaningful keepsakes beyond just a guest book,” says Cianella. “Hearing a loved one’s voice or watching the messages guests have shared has become treasured.”
Erica Kyles-Pauley of Wynn and Encore Las Vegas confirms: “Guest book telephones — still going strong from 2024 — let guests leave heartfelt voice messages.”
If these have stayed off the radar so far, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a cute, often rotary-style phone is linked to an audio recording device and guests “leave a message” for the couple.
Statement Color and Pattern

Forget neutrals — 2025 is going bold and buttery. “Butter yellow tones … are a bright, cheerful and versatile color across floral, fashion, linen, invitations and even wedding cakes,” says Thompson.
Cianella is seeing the same shift: “Moody and dramatic color palettes and bold textures are making a comeback. It creates a sense of luxury and depth that photographs beautifully.”
High-Drama Draping and Crystal Accents
This drama-led design is also encapsulated in venue choices. As Las Vegas-based wedding planner Andrea Eppolito adds: “Expect sweeping, billowing fabrics … to add depth to your design or hide unflattering architectural elements.” She also notes that, “couples are more interested in guaranteeing that the space sparkles with crystal chandeliers, candelabras, votives and more.”
Thompson agrees: “[We’re seeing] dramatic draping … on ceilings, walls, tabletops, backdrops and everything in between.”
Cultural and Personal Fusion
Weddings are becoming more reflective of couples’ real lives and heritages, in extra special touches throughout the ceremony, menu and outfits. This is especially meaningful to couples’ who are honoring more than one background.
“More couples are blending backgrounds and personal rituals in beautifully intentional ways,” says Cianella. “From fusion menus to bilingual ceremonies and unique wardrobe changes, this trend is about honoring who you are.”
Private Last Dances

A moment just for two means that no audience is required. “A quiet, intentional moment for just the couple at the end of the night is becoming more requested,” says Cianella. “It adds a personal, grounding close to a big day.”
Next-Level Thematic Activations
Weddings are leaning all the way into their themes with interactive and unforgettable experiences.
Eppolito describes this trend vividly: “Unexpected activations that tie into the theme of the event are becoming increasingly more popular. Think having a mechanical bull and a hat-making station at a ‘Welcome to the Ranch’ party, costumed hostesses escorting guests to their tables, champagne sabers… It is all about high-touch, personalized experiences that allow guests to interact with the performers.”
Modern Elopements and Social Receptions
The Las Vegas elopement is back with a chic, intentional twist. “Many couples are choosing to elope in Las Vegas, focusing on each other and turning their wedding into a romantic getaway,” says Kyles-Pauley. For those still craving a party, she adds: “Instead of formal ballroom dinners, couples are opting for cocktail-style receptions with signature drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres.”
