Las Vegas is preparing for one of the busiest wedding months, with February bringing an influx of couples ready to tie the knot in the Wedding Capital of the World. From Feb. 11 to Feb. 25, Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya will reopen the popular pop-up Marriage License Bureau at Harry Reid International Airport, making it even more convenient for dearly beloveds arriving in Las Vegas.

February has historically been a prime time for weddings in Las Vegas, with Valentine’s Day being one of the most sought-after nuptial dates for couples. Twelve of the 20 most popular wedding dates in Las Vegas history have fallen on Valentine’s Day. Additionally, February 2025 features unique numeric dates, such as 2-5-25 and 2-25-25, that are expected to attract even more couples looking for a memorable wedding date.

The tradition of celebrating February as “Wedding Month” began in 2022 when Clark County issued its 5-millionth marriage license. Days later, Las Vegas witnessed a wedding boom on 2-22-22, with 2,341 couples saying “I do” in a single day.

To accommodate the high demand of incoming couples, the temporary Marriage License Bureau will be located at Terminal 1 baggage claim at Harry Reid International Airport. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends, the pop-up bureau allows couples to skip the trip downtown and head straight into enjoying their wedding experience in Las Vegas. In addition to issuing marriage licenses, the pop-up office will provide vow renewal certificates and accepts only credit or debit card payments. This year, the Clerk’s Office is also offering a limited-edition keepsake of the Las Vegas skyline and classic Valentine’s Day conversation hearts.

“Couples love the excitement of the pop-up Marriage License Bureau at Harry Reid International Airport,” says Lynn Marie Goya, Clark County Clerk. “Love is always in the air during the month of February and our deputy clerks look forward to serving this special clientele. For eight years, the airport has been such a great partner, we are thrilled we have been able to bring this to our airport couples.”

For the first time, visitors to the airport will also have the opportunity to view the 2024 Wedding Dress Design of the Year, displayed near the Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum on the second floor of Terminal 1 above baggage claim. The winning gown, part of the Wedding Capital of the World’s first design contest, highlights the creativity of Las Vegas designers and adds an extra touch of wedding magic to the airport experience.

With over 5 million weddings and counting, Las Vegas continues to reign as the world’s top wedding destination. Known for its convenience, variety, and iconic venues, the city offers options for every couple, from spontaneous elopements to extravagant celebrations. Whether it’s a chapel wedding, a luxurious hotel affair, or a unique themed ceremony, Las Vegas remains the ultimate place to say “I do.”
