LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A new collection showcases the history of celebrity weddings held in Las Vegas over nearly a century.

The Clark County Clerk’s Office announced that a comprehensive celebrity wedding timeline has been published online at weddings.vegas. It will later debut inside the Clark County Government Rotunda on Sept. 16 and run through Sept. 28.

More than 400 iconic star couples are featured exchanging vows, starting with actor and director Joh Gilbert marrying stage and film actress Ina Claire in 1929.

The history continues through the wedding of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu in 1967 and up to this February’s surprise marriage of Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea.

“The Wedding Capital of the World has always been synonymous with love, excitement and a touch of the unexpected; this timeline pays tribute to the countless celebrities who have chosen Las Vegas for their special day,” Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said in a statement.

The Government Rotunda will also host the Vegas Wedding Chamber’s inaugural Wedding Dress Desing of the Year contest this month.
